While this may seem obvious, it is our experience that many lawyers do not provide a clear answer to your question. Too many times we have seen a client ask for advice, only to be presented with a series of options and then be told that they must make ‘a commercial decision.’ 

We do not do this. 

We gather all the facts, apply the law and answer your query. If it there is ultimately a ‘grey area’ where two or more options could apply, then we provide you with a preferred approach, so you are always given a clear direction.

Where possible, we charge on a fixed fee basis. When you first meet with us, we will discuss your matter, find out exactly what is involved and then give you a fixed fee. That fee will remain fixed and will not change unless extenuating circumstances arise.

In some cases it is not possible to give a fixed fee. In that case we charge on an hourly basis. Our hourly rate is lower than many other law firms. 

We are specialists in our area and have the experience to prove it. We practice in only four areas:

4. Succession Law

We are focused and committed on being regarded as pre-eminent lawyers in these areas.

If you require a lawyer with other expertise, we are able to refer you to a competent lawyer who can assist you.

We are focused on assisting businesses, their owners and their advisers (e.g. accountants). We are a business too and understand the issues involved in establishing, operating and expanding your own business. 

We understand that sometimes it is not possible to make an appointment to see a lawyer during business hours.

Our opening hours are flexible. We are happy to see you after hours and we may also be able to see you at your office.
